Hi there!

I may, or may not have shaken your hand at this point, but if I haven't, then I hope I get the chance to one day!  Since I'm the one typing here, I'll share a bit of my story, but I would love to hear yours, if I haven't already.

I grew up in the small town of Lindsay, Ontario, where my highschool was surrounded by a highway and fields (which sometimes had cows or horses in them), and there were only two highschools in the town.  Many hours of each week were spent doing something musical-- practising, taking lessons, or at least listening to music.  I have two sisters and one brother, who I fought with, made up games with, learned with, cleaned up the kitchen with, played tricks on our parents with... and so many other things!  But now, more than ever, I love spending time with them.  While my childhood is only drifting farther and farther away, my gratefulness for my family and my upbringing is growing closer and closer to my heart.

Through highschool and University, I spent many summers as a summer camp leader, in several different roles through the years.  This is where I discovered a joy in seeing kids learn about God's truth for the first time, seeing kids who know a lot about God gain understand more about how He can impact their lives as children, seeing kids who are excited about learning more about God, and seeing families growing together in God's love and knowledge and grace.

I first started attending West London Alliance Church (or WLA, as we like to call it), in the fall of 2004 when I moved to London for school.  I quickly discovered that I loved this church, and got involved in teaching kids on Sunday mornings.  What a joy!  After two years of teaching on Sunday mornings, I directed Zonecamps, our summer camp program, and the following September I started in the role where I am so blessed to be today!

Some major details:

Favourite game: Settlers of Catan, Cities & Knights

Favourite winter activity: downhill skiing

Favourite colour: green

A memory from my childhood: My brother, sisters and I all went to French Immersion through elementary and highschool.... and neither of our parents knew French.  This made for some particularly fun dinners, when all the kids decided that we would only speak in French for that meal, or evening.  I sure appreciate my parents... they put up with a lot!
