Jelly Telly-- the new Veggie Tales!
October 2, 2009
Phil Vischer, the creator of Veggie Tales, has created this new company, after having to sell Veggie Tales.
There are a lot of small video clips for kids that address a value, or story, or books of the Bible. I think we'll start to use some of the jelly bits (www.jellybits.com) on Sunday mornings next year for the Explorers- as the focus of the curriculum is "The Bible- how it's made up, what it's about, and how I can use it".
Jelly Telly is the name of Phil's new company, and I think it's a great new resource that's available to us for kids! Www.jellytelly.com is where you can find it.
Let me know what you think!

Apologetics for Kids
August 6, 2009
There is a point in every child's life when they realize that not everyone believes the same things as they do, or as their parents do. The books "The Case for Christ for Kids", "The Case for Faith for Kids" and "The Case for a Creator for Kids" by Lee Strobel and Rob Suggs offer some questions that kids may ask about God, and some basic explanations that a child might be able to understand.
While some kids (grade 3 and up) may enjoy reading these books, but I would encourage all parents to take a peek through, to take a step into a child's perspective on basic apologetics. I have certainly found them helpful in approaching questions from kids, and lesson planning!
These books are available to be borrowed from the church library.
